yin-Yang

Darkness swallowed Yin. Her dark fur shining under the cold moon. She breathed. Birds did not tweat, but she heard bugs. THey buzzed and chirped. SHe set on paw softly in front of her patting the gorund softly. Yin Swivled her ears blinking her eyes. Smells flooded around her. The freash ivy and moss scent swivleda round her. THe faint smell of human and oil bounced to her makeing her nose twitch. Yin listened for her brothers paw steps. "Yang?"

As silent as the night he walked in, Yang kept looking up at the stars, marvelling at their beauty. He didn't have any clue where he was or where they were going, but he kept walking, some distance ahead of his Yin. He pricked his ears farther, lashing his tail once as he heard his name. "Yeah?" he asked, smiling at his sister.

Yin smiled rubbing her face under his chin. "I just like to confirm your really there," Yin listened. Something had made the bugs stop there sounds. "Somethings not right, the bugs are makeing and noise." Yin perked her ears. Her fur stood on end something was wrong with this place. Not a single owl hooted. Her ears twitched. What was goin on?

Yang smiled, letting Yin run under his chin. He was so happy his sister was here. But he'd noticed what she'd said, and immediately he pricked up and alerted himself. "Uh huh." he said, gazing around sharply, taking in every detail. What was up?

Knowing Yin could hear better, he looked at her, meeting her eyes even though he knew she'd never be able to look back. "Can you hear anything?"

Yin shook her head. It was dead silent even the win didn't move. THe words o f her mother ran tourgh her head. 'If the forest falls silent a predtor is near by.' "WE have to hurry and find someplace safe," She hissed lowly.

Yang shook his head, "No. We stay here." he whispered. He could feel the tension in the air, practically crackling with fiery sparks. But he wanted to know what was there, what was watching them. He was small, but he could protect Yin if it came down to it. He didn't like to kill, but it didn't mean he wasn't willing to fight.

Yin looked at her brother, Yang. She swivled her ears. Her rabidly sniff. She sunk down to the ground fur on end. She looked over her shoulder out of habit. Tough she didn't see anything it gave her comfort. The of oil was getting to her. Her flashbacks came back.

[i] THe flame rose up around her. Her eyes burned. "Yang! Mother!" She panicked hyperventilateing. "help!" She cried. She sun down only to run tourgh the flames. HEr body hurt but she ran more. Fire sprang out in front of her scorching ehr eyes. She wailed loudly in pain. Running farther out of the farm. She watched the building burn down. Her Vision was blurry. SHe couldn't see anyone. HEr vision blacked out as the building turned to ashes. "Yang..." HEr words skipped out silently. SHe sobbed wailing.

She had been wimpering with her eyes wide open. "Yang! Mother" She whispered her eyes blank. "Help." Her voice was queit. "Yang..." THe quietest of all. SHe hid her face. Shakeing. HEr breath came fast and short.

Once again, Yin began reliving the past. He shoved his cold nose into the soft fur inside her ear. "Get up." he whined, crouching to be eye level with his sister. "Come on!" Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to have her out here. He probably had to get her to some sort of shelter now.

YIn tried her best to sit up. She fel once but stood shakeily after. Her breath was fast and short. She layed her ears down. The fear was bulding in her stomach makeing a knot. She cough and spluttered and eventually puked. THe truma was still strong for the young fox. MAybe if she hadn't lost her vison she would be better by now. Eithier way her Paranoia was attacking her. Yin's shakeing body pulled closer togather.

Reaching for her scruff, Yang grabbed onto Yin and tried to pick her up. "Up, get up." he almost hissed, not meaning to sound mean. Unfortunately, when it came to his sister, one tiny thing wrong and Yang lost his cool. He'd bring her to some sort of shelter, there had to be one around all this junk.

Yin shakeing body stepped forward. She walked letting her brother lead her.

"Alright." breathing easier, Yang allowed himself to let his scruff settle. It was alright now, they'd be fine. As long as Yin had somewhere to be. He looked around, glancing this way and that at all the abandoned machinery and even some cars. Looking higher up, he found what looked to strange to name, but was actually a crane, and nudged Yin toward it. "We're going up, be ready to jump with me." he said, no playful tone to his voice.

"Uh-huh," Yin mummered showing she understood. The dark nightmares still fought over her concious. THe taste of bile still in her mouth.

Sitting at the foot of the creation, Yang judged the jump to the first ledge to be about two tail lengths. Yin could easily handle that, in her sleep. He didn't look at her as he spoke, "Straight up, two tail lengths." he said, leaping up himself to land on the slippery metal. He looked back down, "Use your claws to get a grip. I'll help."

Yin jumped pulling her self up. Whimpering at the sound of claws and steel.

Looking up, Yang found there to be one last ledge, leading up to an enclosed space of some sort. Scent was stale and it was silent and still. He figured it was safe. "Straight up, tail length. You got it." he reassured her, touching his tail gently to her flank.

Yin jumped to find a soft leathery sit. She moved forward only alittle. To let Yang up. She curled nto a ball tightly.

Joining his sister, Yang sat down and sighed, feeling better already. Letting out a yawn, he realized he was indeed tired. Seeing his sister curl up herself, he followed suit and let his fluffy tail act as a pillow and a nose warmer. Tonight was going to be warm.

Yin pushed her nose into Yang's tail. His sweet scent like a lullaby.
