The tree

Death the Kid sat staring at the tree. "It is symmetrical." He growled stareing at it harshly. It was horrible, Disgusting. Soul padded up behind him.

"Will you stop being so uncool. It's a tree it's not souposed to be symmetrical." He barked lazily walking up beside him. Why was Kid always like this.

"Easy for you to say Soul, You perfectly symmetrical!" Kid cried going into depression mode. "I'm just a peice of trash that should be thrown away. Just leave me here to strave Soul. I deserve it!" He sulked.

At the sound of new voices, Clara decided to investigate. When she found two wolves, she bristled slightly. They were talking about some tree. "Um.... is there a problem?"

"This tree is disgusting it has one more leaf on the right! And i'm a peice of trash." Kid continued sulking.

"Really Kid?" Soul asked raiseing an eyebrow. "How about you fix the tree by takeing off a leaf on the right. Than forget about your ear!" Soul rolled his eyes. Cool guys shouldn't loose their temper but Kid could tick him off easy.

Clara looked up at the tree. "What's wrong with it? It's perfectly healthy. The night owls live up there, see?" She nosed up to the hole in its trunk, far above their heads. "And.... your ears look fine."

"Don't you see i'm a unsymmetrical peice of trash. I have three stipes on one but none on the other." He sulked. "The tree has an odd number of leaves!" Kid cried.

Soul have enough of his tantrum walked up to the right side and plucked a leaf. Than walked over to Kid and yelled in his ear. "Forget the stripes!"

"The tree! You fixed it thank you Soul!" He howled hugging the other wolf.

"Get of me," Soul muttered.

Clara actually laughed. The two were comical, no doubting that. She sat down, "Who are you guys?"

"I'm Soul," The white wolf said pushing the balk wolf off him.

Kid straightend up. "I'm Death the Kid, You may call me Kid." He spoke. He always was one of th more respectble people. "Soul stop slouching."

"No, I will not stop slouching." Soul replied to Kid.

Clara stifled another roll of giggles. "So what are you guys doing here? And what's wrong with you, Kid?" Was she supposed to be worried about these guys?

"We are looking for a pack to join, and nothing's wrong with me. Why?" Kid asked. He had his up tight personaily on again.

"He's a nut job about symmetry, if it's not perfect he'll go crazy. Watch. Hey kid!" Soul smirked.

"Huh, yes?" Kid asked.

"7..." Soul had that smirk on his face still.

"No, make it eight, 7 has no symmetry." Kid replied.

"8" This carried on for a few more moments until Kid was in depression mode again.

"It's fun to mess with him." Soul said watching the muttering sulking Kid.

Clara smiled, about to laugh, but when she saw Kid's frown, she hid her humor. "Seven is an equal number, too, you know." She spoke, cocking her head to the side, her yellow eyes thoughtful.

"But if you cut seven in half it's not symmtrical. When you but 8 in half it is....but I can't stay mad at Soul... He's the only wolf i've every met who is perfectly symmetrical." He got out of depression mode again and hugged Soul. "He's pure white with two red eyes. He's jsut like 8!" Kid grinned.

Soul tried pushing him off." You are so uncool Kid. How is it impossible to get rid of you. You're so lucky that your my one source of entertainment-" Soul waas cut of by Kid squeezeing him to hard. He couldn't breath.

Clara shook her head, "It's still equal." She shifted. "Besides, you're fine Kid. And you two are welcome to join my pack. Taiyo would love you too." She smiled at the both of them, her dancing eyes not once leaving either of them.

Kid sat normally again. "You're sure?" He didn't want to intrude but this place was nice. And This wolf was almost symmrtical.

"Are you sure you don't have a disease Kid, I mean you always change attitudes fast...." Soul said. Wondering what kind of food there would be. Mmmm food.

Clara shook her head, "No, he's fine. And besides, you guys are great." She smiled at them. "You wanna go see Taiyo now?"

Kid nodded standing. "Come on Soul and when we meet her don't slouch its disrespectful." Kid commanded as soul stood still keeping that slouch.

Soul rolled his eyes and nodded. He stood and walked over to the girl. Kid followed up behind him.

"This way." Clara started at a sprint, heading toward camp. They were pretty close to begin with, so it didn't take her more than a minute. "We're here." She called over her shoulder.

Kid nodded leading Soul after The girl. He didn't get her name. "What's your name?"

Stopping at the dens, the she-wolf breathed in the fresh scents of her home. She froze when she realized she hadn't told them her name. "Oh yeah," She turned to them, smiling sheepishly. "Sorry. My name's Clara." Pointing her tail toward the biggest den, "I'll get Taiyo."

She stood beside the den, poking her nose inside. "Taiyo? I have a surprise for you." She said, a little intimidated at what she was doing. Shouldn't she be more respectful?

Kid sat straight. "Soul sit up straight don't wan to make a bad impression do you?" Kid looked at Soul.

"I don't want to...Look at all that food....It smells good." Soul said getting a hard paw to the back to mak ehim sit up. "You're uncool."
