Appearance: Vessel cares very much about his appearance. He believes that showing a groomed pelt is showing that one still cares about life, and being old means that he spends a lot of time doing his best to look presentable. He has a slight kink in his tail and he is developing arthritis in one of his back legs. He wears a slightly faded collar with a silver plate with his name and his old partner's name as well.
Personality: Vessel is a very proud old dog. He is energetic, and slightly eccentric, and his growing problem of being unable to walk really bothers him. He is occasionally grumpy because of this, and lashes out a lot, but all who have met him know he's a kind soul who cares deeply for others. He loves pups and young dogs, and is a great source of amusement as he often plays with them and teaches them. He can be a bit of a trickster and a bully, but just because he needs the hobby. His stamina is beginning to fail him but it doesn't stop him from taking long walks and attempting to test his abilities. To be told off by Vessel is a big deal.
History: As stated before, this bloodhound used to belong to a police force. He was a 'sniffer dog' and though it wasn't a particularly dangerous job, he was highly honoured in the team. He became the equivalent to a senior within his second year of the job, and slowly advanced to master before having to retire due to his old age. His human partner decided that he would be happier with a regular family, but Vessel escaped from the pound, and realizing that his partner could not care for him, left, eventually finding his way to the town and then the farm. He has occupied a fallen log near the pond instead of a barn and supports Gaoth because he has a strong sense of justice.
