Hunting

Sky sniffed around the forest, still dissapointed he had lost that rabbit. It looked so good, too. A rustling sound hit Skys ears. He looked around, to fing a squirrel digging up nuts. He ran up, and quickly killed it. There's one. He thought, burying it for later.

Kadal smiled over at the gamma. "Nice work. Wanna see if we can take down a deer? This s the last time we are going to be able to eat considerably well for a while." The beta shook his brown pelt and looked over at Sky.

"Let's go for it." Sky replied. He sniffed the air, trying to catch any deer scent. "There!" He said quietly, pointing his nose in the direction the scent was coming from.

"Great!" Kadal trotted towards the scent, slowing to a stalk as he saw some great brown shaped in the distance. His voice and composture was great for one so troubled.

Sky followed, then snuck to the other side of the shape. He waited for any signal, to strike the object.

Kadal's green eyes watched the herd a while, picking out the weakest one. He flicked his tail, a signal to separate it from the others.

Sky sprang forward, aiming in between the weakest one and the herd. He was successful. The weak one ran in the opposite direction that the herd was headed in. He flicked his tail to signal Kadal to jump in and finish it off.

The brown wolf darted infront of it, snaping at its heels, driving it towards Sky again. It's eyes widened as it saw that it was trapped, and its anguished cry died down as the Beta struck.

Sky watched the beta take down the deer. It was dead before he could jump in and help. "We should take this to the cave." He suggested.

"Yep. We wouldn't want any scavengers appearing would we?" Kadal bit into the deer's leg, and with a great amount of effort managed to move in an inch. "Eh...Help please?" He grinned sheepishly.

Sky picked up the other leg in his mouth, and helped the beta drag it back to camp. "I'm going back to hunt some more." He said, heading back into the forest after putting the deer inside the cave.

"But we need nothing more Sky. Kill only what you will eat."

"That's true..." Skt said, thinking over what the beta had said. "But I should at least go get the squirrel I killed, or there would've been no point in it dying." He said, now waiting for a reply.

"Alright." Kadal yawned. "See ya later."

Sky nodded, and walked through the forest, until he found his squirrel. He dug it up, and picked it up. Sky walked back to camp with his squirrel.
